The main stages of the formation of the Russian diplomatic service

The subject of this study is the historical aspects of the formation of the Russian diplomatic service, which were studied in order to determine the features of the formation and development of the professional diplomatic service in Russia at different stages of its historical development. According to the results of the study, it was found that the domestic system of the diplomatic service, starting from the XV-XVII centuries, is gradually developing in the direction of further professionalization. It is established that within the major historical stages of development (pre-revolutionary, Soviet and modern), stages characterized by their own development features can also be distinguished.
