The article deals with the main criterion of the professional competence of a primary school teacher, and it is said that the professional competence of a teacher is an integrative system of professionally significant personal properties acquired by a teacher both in the process of general and special education, as well as on the basis of practical experience, ensuring a high level of professional pedagogical activities.
