Main models and directions of state support for cluster development in the Volga region

Three main typical models of cluster development were identified in frames of clustering processes and innovative development of the Volga region. The main directions of state support for innovative clusters are systematized in depending on the model of cluster development. The priorities of state support are highlighted for clusters formed around the production and technological core in the form of large "anchor" enterprises and the core in the form of leading research and educational centers, as well as for clusters formed on the basis of integration of small and medium-sized innovative enterprises.
