Main models of suicidal behavior

The introduction presents the main concepts of suicidal behavior, the background briefly considers attitude towards the suicide of classical suicidologists. Objective: to analyze the main results of scientific publications dedicated to various aspects of suicidal behavior from positions of various approaches in suicidology in historical and modern aspects. Conclusion: influence of anti-suicidal factors is insufficiently taken into account during study and description of mechanisms of suicidal behavior. Therefore there is a need for further research and improvement of the model of suicidal behavior with use of sociobiopsychological approach for the purpose of development of optimal preventive anti-suicidal activities.
