The main activities of the NKGB during the Great Patriotic War (based on the materials of the Altai territory)

Based on archival materials of the Altai Territory, the article provides a detailed analysis of the main activities of the NKGB during the Great Patriotic War. The article considers the activities of security officers (chekists) to identify agents of German intelligence and persons engaged in anti-Soviet agitation, propaganda and the spread of provocative rumors. The methods of combating various types of banditry both in frontline and rear areas are investigated. The article demonstrates the features and procedure for conducting inspections of evacuated enterprises in the rear areas for compliance with the regime and safety of property, as well as ensuring the safety of transportation of imported goods from Mongolia.
