Main trends of activity of the university museum of arts and their scientific and methodical provision

In the result of the analysis of activity of Museum Complex of the South Ural State University, its main directions of functioning are revealed. They are the following: exhibition function, informational-recourse function, and museum-collective function. The specific character of the University museum determines the full organization of its work, which is conditioned by the training programme of specialists-art critics, and also by the aims of study course of Cultural Studies, part of educational process for the students of other specialties and for the students of special classes, which are basic for the University's schools. Creation of the artistic collection is the key to cultural heritage preservation of the region and increases national artistic richness. Creation the multimedia resource, including training programmes and methodological guidelines will raise the level of artistically aesthetic education and development. Methodological unification of University potential, potential of leading figures and institutions of science, culture and art of the region in the field of aesthetic education of students, leads to significant optimization of the whole educational-training activity of the University
