The main features and activities of popular science tourism sities using Moscow city as an example

This article analyzes the main objects of events, projects, laboratory experiments of popular science tourism. The author defines the concept of «popular science tourism», according to the Concept for the development of popular science tourism in the Russian Federation for the period up to 2035. The author then focuses on various objects of popular science tourism. Using the example of popular science tourism sites of Moscow, various scientific and industrial tourism events and their features are presented. The following are considered as examples of popular science tourism facilities in Moscow: the Center for Youth Innovative Creativity Bionic Lab (CYIC Bionic Lab), InnoPark, the Cosmonautics and Aviation Center, the Lytkarino Interactive Optical Center with an observatory (IOC Lytkarino), the RSSU Technopark, the Moscow State University Science Park Technopark, the Slava Technopark, the Smart City Information Technology Center, the Center for Advanced Technologies, and the Center for Youth Innovative Creativity Modern Educational Technologies (hereinafter CYIC SOT). In addition, the author highlights the results that contribute to the development of educational competencies in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard. The article provides illustrations of popular science tourism events, objects that were analyzed. A conclusion is drawn about the importance of popular science tourism, and the high significance of this type of tourist activity is emphasized. As a source of information for the analysis of the conceptual apparatus, the author used the materials of the PPC “Design of products and services of popular science tourism”, created under the guidance of the scientist Saranch M. A. (2023).
