This article discusses the main approaches to the study of the process of perception of space and time in preschool age, identifies the main directions of perception development, describes approaches to the study of sensory standards and perceptual actions, describes the processes of mastering sensory standards and the mechanisms of formation of spatial-temporal relations, closely related to each other by verbal designation, helping the child to identify and fix this or that kind of relationship, this or that property of the object.
