Main features of destructive teachings of Islam: in the context of countering religious extremism

The article is devoted to the analysis of individual aspects of extremism and, first of all, its religious «modification», which helps to disguise the true plans of ideologists and preachers seeking to reformat society to accept distorted views on genuine Islam under religious canons of the Islamic persuasion, and, as a consequence, to ensure the coming to power of various kinds of destructive forces. Revealing the danger for Uzbek society of the advancement of extremist views in the consciousness of the population, in their pseudo-religious design, the author draws attention to the most characteristic signs of the manifestation of religious extremism, which should be the subject of an adequate response from various state institutions, including law enforcement agencies.
