Major challenges of the establishment of the soviet governance in rural chernozem regions (1917-1918)

The article analyzes the problem of establishment of the Soviet authority in the black soil villages. Political pragmatism of the Bolsheviks and the use of the agrarian program of SR’s (socialist-revolutionaries’) based on the idea of the socialization of the land has simplified the task of coming to power at the center of the country. However it took several months to strength its position in the village. Several significant mistakes have been done and that led to the growth of antagonism between the authority and the village. Later it caused a number of serious peasant riots.
