Бесплатный доступ

The article is devoted to the analysis of modern practice of designing and building transport hubs (hereinafter referred to as TPUs), as the most important components of urban infrastructure that perform both the utilitarian function of providing passengers with transfers of public transport, and a number of social functions: shopping and administrative centers, offices, cultural and leisure facilities, recreational facilities. The article highlights current trends in TPU design and construction and provides the most illustrative examples from world experience illustrating these trends: expanding the range of service facilities located in TPU; efficient use of TPU space and adjacent territories; optimization of passenger traffic routes within TPU; landscaping of TPU territory in order to increase consumer attractiveness; environmental approach when designing TPU; creating an accent architectural appearance of a TPU building as a significant object of regional or urban significance.
