This article examines key motivational theories applied in project management, emphasizing their relevance for Russian and Uzbek private enterprises. Examples of motivational approaches implemented at well-known private enterprises demonstrate the importance of adapting motivation systems to the specifics of project activities. Personnel motivation is one of the central factors in effective project management, as employees actively engaged in the process contribute to the successful completion of tasks. In a dynamically changing market environment, Russian and Uzbek private enterprises face the need to create a motivating environment for project teams, which requires a comprehensive approach and the application of modern motivational theories. The relevance of this research lies in exploring the possibilities of adapting motivation theories to the specifics of project activities and identifying practical approaches that best contribute to the success of projects in Russian and Uzbek private companies. The article discusses major motivation theories, such as Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, Herzberg's Two-Factor Theory, Vroom's Expectancy Theory, Adams's Equity Theory, Deci and Ryan's Self-Determination Theory, Agile in project motivation, and Locke's Goal-Setting Theory, with practical examples from Russian and Uzbek private enterprises.
