The article presents the results of a study of the theoretical aspects of personnel adaptation, taking into account the features of the public service system of the Russian Federation. The factors affecting the effectiveness of the implementation of adaptation programs are considered. The result is a statement about the need to develop and implement targeted adaptation programs in the civil service.
