The study presents the features of the functioning of Russian agglomerations, their characteristics and vital activity in the context of the coronavirus pandemic - reveals the features of the migration characteristics of the population during the periods of work and study in a remote format on the example of the Moscow agglomeration. The Russian and foreign experience of building agglomeration models and its features are considered, the stages of agglomeration formation are presented. A detailed description of the mo-nocentric Moscow agglomeration in terms of health care and educational activities is given, and the features of temporary migration of the population and its causes, which characterize changes in the structure and features of the agglomeration, are separately considered.
