Peculiarities of the biotop distribution and the population dynamics of the bank vole ( Myodes glareolus Schreb.) in Tver region

Peculiarities of the biotop distribution of the bank vole in Tver region are analyzed. The population dynamics for the 16-year period is reviewed. The most optimal living conditions are recorded in the spruce nemoral forest and in the wood sorrel spruce forest, as well as in the mixed plant association with domination of the deciduous trees. The high level of the early summer peak population dynamics along with the slight depressions and with the positive trend in the dynamics indicate the optimal conditions for the bank vole in the forests of Tver region.
