The article discusses the mechanisms of transmission of encrypted information in the Internet space based on blockchain technology. Digital assets, which are cryptocurrencies created using blockchain technology, are being used by criminals more and more often. A distributed system for transmitting and storing information, confidentiality of transactions allows the use of cryptocurrencies for the purpose of committing crimes: the purchase of weapons, narcotic drugs, money laundering, etc. The importance of learning, using or creating your own tools to combat crimes committed using virtual assets is shown.
