Features of distance foreign languages teaching in a non-linguistic university

The growing role and scale of distance education are shown. The features and positive aspects of distance learning of foreign languages in a non-linguistic University are considered. Unsolved problems and difficulties in this area are highlighted. The need for further study of theoretical and practical aspects of distance teaching of foreign languages and the development of remote foreign language courses is noted.
