Features of beta-blockers pharmacoepidemiology, taking into account current clinical guidelines

Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are the leading cause of death worldwide, leading to 17 million deaths annually. One of the main risk factors that determine the prognosis of morbidity and mortality from CVD is arterial hypertension (AH). Since 2018 The European Society of Cardiology has recommended to limit the range of patients for prescription of beta-blockers (ВВ) in patients with AH. The study evaluates the structure of BB consumption in the modern pharmaceutical market.
