Peculiarities of phase composition and structure of layers on diboride TiB2, formed in surface layers of carbon steels under the influence of intense electron beams in vacuum

Some features of TiB2 layers crystal structure are presented. Layers were generated on carbonaceous steels S20 and U8А with use of reactionary daub containing the titan oxide, boron and carbon. Layers have been received under the influence of pulse and continuous action electron beam processing in vacuum. Properties and structure are compared in depence on way of forming. The conditions of initiation the self-extending high-temperature synthesis and electron beam surfacing of its products are analyzed and compared.
