Features of steppe zone soils enzymatic activity of Elbrus vertical zonation variant at Central Caucasus

Enzymatic activity (invertase, phosphatase, catalase) in steppe zone soils of Elbrus vertical zonation variant at Kabardino-Balkaria is defined. The maximal indexes of activity of enzymes and the maintenance of humus are marked out in the wet and meadow carbonaceous soil, the dark-chestnut carbonaceous soil and chernozem ordinary. The conjugate changes of enzymes activity among themselves, with the maintenance of humus and soils рН are revealed.
