The article deals with the peculiarities of physical education of students with disabilities in the conditions of innovative educational environment of the University. The relevance of the research topic is due to the growing interest in the problems of adaptive physical education in the modernization of the higher education system, one of the directions of which is the formation of a new (innovative) intra-University educational environment that provides barrier-free equal access to education for persons with disabilities of different nosology and disabled people. The scientific novelty of the work is to highlight the specific features of adaptive physical education of these persons in the context of the formation of innovative educational environment of the modern University, which determines the purpose of the study. As research methods the analysis of normative legal acts, scientific and branch literature on questions of adaptive physical education was used.
