The article describes the practical implementation of the pedagogical conditions conducive to the successful development of cross-cultural communication knowledge, competences and skills in the process of teaching the Russian language to foreign students in university. It also substantiates the need and the role of formation of foreign students, readiness for intercultural communication in the course of learning activity.
