The purpose of the study is to identify and analyze the features of the formation and direction of development of public procurement in the region, in particular in the Orenburg region. In the article, we analyze the activities of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Orenburg region in the framework of public procurement. We have proposed directions for the development of public procurement in the region under study.
