In the context of globalization, internationalization, and transition to the “knowledge society”, the role of universities changes dramatically as they become the research and innovative centers. Against this background, a new type of innovation-oriented universities is being formed to choose the concept of the entrepreneurial university as their basic development path. The implementation of this model implies the development of the new entrepreneurial university image. The paper defines an entrepreneurial university, the basic characteristics and the procedure of image construction of a modern entrepreneurial university engaged in educational and research activities with regard to the generation and dissemination of knowledge; activities of such a university are increasingly commercialized.
