Features of building the intellectual potential as a basic resource of modern information society

Improving the management of intellectual potential development is especially relevant for modern Russian society and its economic entities, which are at the initial stage of the formation and use of intellectual resources. The unresolved nature of certain theoretical and practical problems in the field of the formation and use of national intellectual potential and the implementation of intellectual activity determined the topic of the study. The article provides a theoretical analysis of the features of building the intellectual potential and outlines the main factors influencing the structure of the intellectual potential of society. The theoretical provisions of the development and building the structure of the intellectual potential of a person are substantiated and its main constituent elements are analyzed. Based on the research, the authors propose the models of its formation and use, clarify certain categories, provide reasonable conclusions, and develop the main directions of the latter's development. The paper study the mechanism of using the intellectual potential of the national economy due to its transformation into intellectual capital. Such socio-economic categories as intellectual potential and intellectual capital are investigated and clarified, their common features and differences are given, their importance for the effective functioning and development of the national economy is emphasized.
