The article discusses the possibilities of forming environmental literacy during the study of the subject «Biology» at the II and III stages of general secondary education. The author, taking into account the specifics of the subject «Biology», the require- ments of teaching imposed on students in the educational process, determined the essence and content of environmental liter- acy. The article focuses on the types of activities that contribute to the formation of environmental literacy among students.
