The article is devoted to the study of the influence of linguistic games on the development of lexical competence of middle school students in schools with the Kyrgyz language of instruction. The focus is on the use of linguistic, role-playing games, charades and other game techniques aimed at activating vocabulary, developing linguistic guesswork, the ability to distinguish the meanings of words, select synonyms and antonyms, and build logical connections between concepts. The article provides practical examples of games (“The Fourth Extra”, “Words from a Word”, “Guess the Word”, role-playing scenes and charades), confirming the effectiveness of the game approach in teaching.
