Peculiarities of piano music of the classicist era

The article deals with the characteristic features of piano music of the classicism era and the history of its development. The main characteristics of musical language, texture and form of works are revealed, the main musical genres are defined. The basic principles and distinctive features of piano performance of the London and Viennese piano schools are considered. It is revealed that the London school was focused on the development of full concert sound and phenomenal playing technique, while the Viennese school paid special attention to the expressiveness of music.
