This article discusses the issues of social franchising - a business technology for the development of social projects. The concept of social entrepreneurship as a type of socio-economic activity is considered. According to the authors, the main difficulty in scaling a business in the social sphere is the assessment and replication of the “social impact” of the enterprise, the quantitative equivalent of the social value created. Due to the focus on solving a social problem, the company is interested not only in its own development, but also in the dissemination of the business model it has implemented to enhance social impact and expand its geographical coverage. It is the replication of the experience gained by other social entrepreneurs in other regions and economic conditions that becomes one of the most important features of a social enterprise.
