The automotive industry is a key economic sector in many countries of the world, and the effective functioning of value chains in this industry is of strategic importance for the competitiveness of companies. This article examines the peculiarities of value chain functioning in the automotive industry, taking into account the specifics of production and market characteristics. The main stages of value chains are analyzed, including design, production, marketing and distribution of automobiles. Special attention is paid to the issues of process optimization, quality management and cost reduction within value chains.
