The peculiarities of ellipsis functioning in «Harry Potter and the philosopher's stone» by J. K. Rowling

The author of the following tries to give the classification of ellipsis's functions in the novel of J.K.Rowling and pays attention to the peculiarities of ellipsis in colloquial style, in particular, dialogues, polylogues, and its quantity in the text.
