Features of the functioning of the labor market and employment of the population

The labor market is one of the most important components of the development of any country and region. The sustainability and quality of socio-economic growth will depend on how much the employee will be involved in the processes of social development. The quality of the modern young generation largely determines the quality of the future economically active population. This article examines the situation of the labor market in modern conditions. The study revealed the peculiarities of the development and functioning of the labor market. In addition, the main factors determining the position of labor resources in the modern labor market are identified. According to the results of the study, some ways were proposed aimed at regulating the labor market and increasing employment, the implementation of which will lead to the development of a competitive workforce.
