57 patients with odontogenic sepsis were analyzed. Two subgroups were identified: main 34 patients with odontogenic sepsis, developing in the presence of background diseases of the cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive and other systems control with odontogenic sepsis without background pathology. Results. Odontogenic sepsis is generally characterized by tachycardia more than 100 in 1 min, high values of the systolic index (more than 33.5 l/min m2), heart volume less than 70 ml the presence of background diseases in patients with odontogenic sepsis causes a statistically significant increase in the frequency of respiratory movements and the severity of anemia in comparison with a similar group without background pathology. Conclusion. Odontogenic sepsis is characterized by rapid development and short duration of the disease (the average period of hospitalization is about 20 bed days), except for cases of contact odontogenic mediastinitis, characterized by long periods of hospitalization. Complications in odontogenic sepsis develop in 5070 of cases, and in the group of patients with background pathology complications lead to death more often than in the same group without background diseases.
