Features of the genesis of the lakes of the Novo-Savinovsky district of the city of Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan

In the Novo-Savinovsky district of Kazan, located on the right bank of the Kazan Bay of the Kuibyshev reservoir, on the site of the former Kizic swamp, a chain of small lakes of mixed origin was formed, developing according to the natural processes of the formation of reservoirs. Since there is no exact information about the number of lakes, cases of their backfilling have become more frequent due to the allocation of water fund lands as plots for housing and communal construction. The lakes of the area that became the objects of this study, similar in origin (genesis) and location, have different morphometric characteristics. The analysis of the conditions of formation of modern lakes of the right-bank valley of the Kazanka river and the peculiarities of their transformation under the influence of man-made processes in connection with their development has become the purpose of this work.
