Oligopoly state regulation features

The article analyses the current methods of electric-power industry state regulation and estimates their major defects; it shows that the cause of the defects is preservation of principles of regulation that had been practiced for the industry-monopoly, though the industry structure was already changed (from monopoly to oligopoly). The author formulates the thesis of maintaining the necessary level of competition as the basic method of oligopoly regulation. There is a suggestion for natural monopolies segments to transfer to the most progressive tariffs methods and the author proposes the method of competition between the consumers for the right to construct the network projects
