The conditions of competition in the labor market are examined, the modern interpretation of the concept of career is discussed, the process of formation of a professional career in Russian organizations is analyzed taking into account the changing situation on the labor market. To overcome the competition, it is proposed to develop strategies for building a career. Based on the survey, a conclusion is drawn about a positive attitude towards a career.
