Features and problems of the use of operational and search data in the investigation of crimes related to corruption of officials

Currently in Russia there is a deterioration of the criminal situation in the field of crimes related to corruption of officials. The relevance of the author ‘s article is connected with the need to solve the problem that the modern activities of the internal affairs agencies in the detection and investigation of corruption crimes among officials require continuous modernization, improvement of the means of prevention and counteraction, as well as the identification of conditions and tools that contribute to the improvement of the efficiency of the investigation. The main study in the article is the peculiarities of the use of operational and search data in the investigation of crimes related to corruption of officials. This question is investigated by the author using methods of evolutionary, functional and problem analysis, which allow to identify the main directions for improvement of gaps and shortcomings identified in the field under study. The gaps related to the legislative space for the regulation of the field under study, the interaction of different bodies, the implementation of various procedures and schemes for operational and search activities are being studied. As the elements of scientific novelty, the author argues the expediency of specifying the concepts of information support and documenting operational and search activities in the current legislation and increasing their legal weight in evidence. The need to develop a system of accumulation and exchange of data between all participants of judicial proceedings for constructive interaction to counter corruption crimes of officials has been defined, which will contribute to improving the quality of preliminary investigation and operational and search activities, as well as detailed methodological algorithmization of such actions taking into account the study of positive experience available at the regional level in the constituent entities of the Federation of the Russian Federation.
