This article discusses the features of personnel management in the customs authorities of the Russian Federation. The activity of the FCS of Russia in the field of personnel management for 2018 is analyzed. The distinctive characteristics of personnel planning in the customs authorities of the Russian Federation are determined, namely: a high degree of centralization of power, the dependence of planning and forecasting in the field of personnel management on higher levels of management. The problems in the field of personnel management in the customs authorities, in particular the problem of improving the organizational structure of management, the problem of personnel rotation, formulated directions for their solution.
