Identification of local radioactive fallout in mountain terrain

Facts of local surface ground contamination with by 137Cs are revealed as the result of the long-term research of the consequences of radiation effects on the territory and population of the Altai Republic after the nuclear tests at the Semipalatinsk proving ground. The problem of discovery and identification of the global and local nuclear fallouts in reconstruction of the radiation situation especially in the mountain landscape conditions is discussed.
