Peculiarities of the interpretation of the concept “life” in the story “Cancer ward” by A.I. Solzhenitsyn

The article deals with the analysis of the peculiarities of the representation and interpretation of the concept “life” in the story “Cancer ward” by A.I. Solzhenitsyn. Most of the characters of the text speak about the meaning of life. The concept not only implements the traditional characteristics but also receives the special interpretation associated with the life as a “thing”, on the one hand, and as a “sacrifice” and “love for one’s neighbour”, on the other hand.
