Features of the use of authentic materials in the formation of communicative competence in teaching a foreign language

The article is devoted to the use of authentic material from original sources for the formation of communicative competence of students at all levels of foreign language teaching. The article presents the interpretations that determine the authentic material, its functionality, types, advantages and requirements for it, and also focuses on the practical application of the resources available on the Internet at various stages of learning English in a general educational institution.
