Features of using a functional approach in the management of enterprises of the russian construction industry

In conditions of high technological complexity of the production process, strict regulations, as well as the need for strict quality control and deadlines, the functional management model remains dominant in most shipbuilding enterprises. The author examines the historical, organizational and industry prerequisites for the preservation of this model, including the legacy of a planned economy, sustainable management traditions and the specifics of interaction between structural units. At the same time, the article reveals the limitations of the functional approach in modern conditions of digital transformation and increasing project complexity, substantiates the need and expediency of improving existing management approaches in order to increase flexibility, manageability and result orientation.
