The article presents the peculiarities of using sports game elements in preschoolers’ physical education. The authors believe that competitive situation encourages children to move more actively and thus increase their physical skill level and the indicators of their physical fitness. It also allows to develop such qualities as the ability to perform an exercise independently (without a tutor), to see the emotional expressions of peers, to do a self-assessment of their own capabilities.
