Features of the use of dance folklore in dance-movement therapy

The article highlights an urgent problem of the modern world related to the issues of correction and harmonization of mental health and the condition of a person experiencing intense external influence from society. In this regard, the authors saw the solution to this problem in the use of qualified assistance from a specialist in dance and movement therapy. In the context of this, the role and essence of this branch of psychology was determined, which is located at the junction of choreography and psychotherapy and is based on nonverbal communication in the form of a patient's dance. During the work, it was revealed that dance-movement therapy is effective not only when working with adults who have body clamps, problems with interpersonal interaction, communication, emotional disorders, but also with children who need help in harmonizing mental health, developing personal qualities and socialization.In the framework of this article, the historical role of the authors who studied this problem, whose ideas formed the basis for the development of dance-movement therapy, was considered. In the course of the work, the functions, goals and objectives of a specialist in the field of dance and movement therapy, as well as the features of his pedagogical activity were analyzed. The important role of dance folklore means in dance-movement therapy, which have a direct impact on the harmonization of the psycho-emotional state of a person, is determined. A universal choreographic form is revealed - a round dance, which contains the main components, such as a game, a plot, a figure drawing, song rhythms, as well as plasticity and rhythm, which are also inherent in various dance-plastic forms of dance-movement therapy.
