Features of the manufacture and use of sports mouthguards

A comparative analysis of sports mouthguards made in various ways was carried out in 71 athletes-boxers. The results of the study showed that the use of standard sports mouthguards in boxers is impractical in all age periods. Thermoplastic mouthguards of industrial production can be an alternative to individual mouthguards only in the period of replaceable bite, which is due to the dynamics of changes in the shape of the dentition arches. The most effective means of protection are individual sports mouthguards.
