The peculiarities of emotional competence of Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs higher education institutions' cadets (by the example of cadets of the East-Siberian institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia)

The article concerns the notion of emotional competence. Various approaches to its understanding are over-viewed and the author's definition for this notion is proposed. A brief characteristics of the components of emotional competence (reflexy, expressiveness, self-regulation and empathy) are given. The data of empirical studies of the 1st year cadets' emotional competence conducted at the East Siberian Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russian Federation are presented.
