Using the objective psychophysical techniques, based on registration of attention reserves, were investigated peculiarities of emotional regulation of various categories of traumatic patients with somatic diseases (chronic prostatitis, post-traumatic amputation of a lower limb, atopic dermatitis). All of the selected groups of patients reported frequent cases of loss of emotional control, evidence of nosogenic reactions, not detected by using traditional methods of psychodiagnosis. The most severe nosogenic reactions were in a group of wounded limb amputees, where cases of loss of emotional regulation accounted for 69.2 percent of all surveyed. In patients with chronic nonbacterial prostatitis number of such patients was 52.6%, in patients with atopic dermatitis - 35.7%.
