Endothelial dysfunction was studied in 34 patients with chronic alcoholism. The concentration of nitric oxide (NO) in blood serum was defined by enzymatic photometric method using a set of firm BCM Diagnostics reagents, USA. Endothelin#1 (ET#1) was examined by solid#phased method using Biomedica set of reagents, Austria. Endothelium vasodilatation was investigated by D. Celermaejer's and coauthors' technique. They have revealed elevated levels of NO and ET#1 in 76.5% patients with chronic alcoholism and simultaneous decrease in level of NO and ET#1 in 8.8% patients, decrease in level of NO and increase of ET#1 in 5.9% patients. In the initial state the diameter of a humeral artery in patients with chronic alcoholism doesn't differ from healthy ones. In flow#dependent vasodilatation the increase in diameter of a humeral artery was 6% (p=0.012), what is lower, than in healthy ones. The decrease of a humeral artery diameter has been registered in 20.6% patients. The sensitivity indicator of endothelin of a humeral artery to pressure of shift is lowered in patients with chronic alcoholism (p
