New data on the composition and content of the fluid phase and structural elements- impurities, which are important quality characteristics of raw materials, in the vein quartz of the Urals deposits were obtained using the methods of gas chromatography and electron spin resonance. It was shown that the lowest content of the fluid phase is characteristic of transparent granulated and finegrained quartz. This quartz is also marked by low content of structural impurities.
