The article discusses the main problems of staffing the healthcare sector of the Russian Federation. The field of medicine is undergoing significant changes nowadays and a special role is assigned to improving the human resource management system of this industry, as this is a strategic component. Special attention should be paid to the personnel planning system and the involvement of personnel in the healthcare sector. Personnel policy for the preservation and development of personnel in the healthcare sector is the most important factor in stabilizing the industry. In modern conditions of functioning and development of a medical organization, one of the main resources that ensure this development is personnel. In many ways, the competition is already underway not so much at the level of technological development, but at the level of the intellectual potential of medical personnel.
